Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on May 26, 2026, postponing the initial fall 2025 estimate. The company cited the need for additional time to ensure the game's quality as the reason for the delay.
The game will be set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, focusing on the city of Vice City. The story will follow Lucia, the series' first female protagonist since 1999, and her partner, Jason, in a narrative inspired by Bonnie and Clyde.
GTA VI will be available exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. As of now, there is no confirmation regarding a PC version.
Analysts suggest that the game's price may range between $70 and $100, depending on the edition. This could translate to values between R$ 420 and R$ 600 in Brazil, considering the current dollar exchange rate.
